Northern Soul has always been popular in the area since the 70's with Wigan Casino, Yate, Stafford and the 100 Club being regularly attended. Gloucester has been consistent with regular Soul events thanks to The Gloucester Soul Crew Collective and the Soul on Wax Team. With a resurgence in Stroud thanks to the Five Valleys Soul Club and the Bristol Northern Soul Club getting more and more Popular, Northern Soul is definitely on the Up. 

After hugely successful nights in 2025 and Feb 2026, Northern Soul Night @Chantry Centre is back in May and celebrating it's 1st Anniversary - keeping the spirit alive and the region’s soul scene spinning!
